Composite bonding is a technique used to improve the cosmetic appearance of your teeth. It refers to a plastic or resin material that is bonded, or glued, to an existing tooth and then shaped by Dr. Krusich to create the desired look.
Unlike porcelain veneers or dental crowns, composite bonding removes little if any of the original tooth.
Dental crowns are caps that fit over and cover a tooth. Crowns in essence will become the new outer surface of your tooth. Crowns are colored and shaped to look like a natural tooth. They restore a tooth’s appearance, it’s biting capacity, and may reduce its sensitivity.
Implants are a permanent procedure that replaces the root of a tooth with a metal anchor that becomes fused with the skull or jawbone. An abutment is attached to the anchor and a crown is attached to the abutment. And while this sounds like it might be painful, most patients find it less painful than a regular tooth extraction.
Enamel refers to the hard exterior coating of a tooth. An Enameloplasty is a cosmetic procedure when the outer layer of the tooth is reshaped or recontoured.
